To kill the nest

Combat® products are not less effective than Combat® Max™ products - they are used in different ways.

Combat® Max™ products contain the active ingredient Fipronil at 0.001% or 0.01% or 0.03% or 0.05%, while Combat® products contain the active ingredient Hydramethylnon at 1.0% or 2.0%. These two active ingredients work differently from each other and their relative percentages are tailored to each specific target pest and Combat® roach bait or ant bait formulation.

The Difference Between Combat® & Combat® Max™:

  1. Combat® is formulated with Hydramethylnon, one of the most thorough active ingredients on the market for ant and roach baits. Hydramethylnon is a slow-acting insect stomach poison that kills ants and roaches after ingestion. This delay allows bugs to deliver the poison back to the colony where it’s spread among the rest of nest killing insects in a domino-like effect, resulting in destruction of the infestation at the source.
  2. Combat® Max™ is formulated with Fipronil, one of the fastest active ingredients on the consumer market for ant and roach baits and gels. Unlike Hydramethylnon, Fipronil is an insect nerve poison that kills ants and roaches by contact and ingestion. It starts killing insects within hours, so you begin to see results almost immediately.
